SoundScansTM

An acoustical laboratory at Bangalore, equipped with state-of-the-art Bruel & Kjaer instrumentation, where applied research and product testing is enabled in accordance with current ASTM / ANSI / ISO / EN standards. See list of standards in the Utilities section of this manual. Instrumentation includes special subwoofers to simulate very low-frequency waveforms that are, often, the cause of structure borne noise transfer in today’s architectural spaces.

SoundScansTM works through 6 sub-menus that are applicable to sites also.

Noise isolation tests for facades, partition assemblies, doors and floor assemblies - OITC, STC, IIC

Sound absorption tests for acoustical panels, tiles and functional absorbers - NRC, SAA

Interzone attenuation tests for ceilings, panellings and barriers - AI, CAC

Insertion loss, flow noise and airflow performance determination for aerodynamic systems

Sound power determination of object sources in reverberation and anechoic chambers

Sound quality determination from reinforcement systems - Loudness, Coverage, Frequency Response, Speech Intelligibility
