In the previous edition of enoise, our second, we introduced vibration management for mechanical equipment as a subject. From this edition of enoise, we discuss products that enable such vibration management. First in the series is spring isolators.

Model FDS spring isolator
FDS are free-standing, unhoused, large diameter laterally stable steel springs contained in an upper load plate/leveling assembly and lower load plate/noise pad assembly, for control of high frequency vibration.

They are also available as an all-welded unit for bolt-down applications.

FDS spring isolators are designed for spring deflection ranges from 18 mm to 100 mm with load capacity up to 10,500 kgs.

FDS spring isolators are recommended for the isolation of floormounted refrigeration compressors, pumps, packaged air handlers, airconditioning equipment, centrifugal and axial fans, and internal combustion engines.

For equipment subject to weight change or high wind loads, we have Restrained Spring Isolators.
