When interior surfaces of an architectural space like ceilings are rendered strong with vibration isolation systems, can walls of the same space be left free? Noise/vibration is bound to travel through the structure and hence impact the walls as well. Hence, walls need isolation. Here are some ways:
Sway – Incorporating Sway, designers can create simple, easyto- build walls that do not require expensive resilient channel, complex double-wall construction, and/or additional layers of the heavyweight boarding like Tufbloc .

Increasing the air cavity and resiliently decoupling the wall mass of Tufbloc from the non-isolated building structure does the trick.
