King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), located on the Red Sea at Thuwal, Saudi Arabia (80 km from Jeddah), is an international, graduate-level research university. Created on a massive site of over 36 square kilometres, the US$ 8 billion institution was completed in autumn 2009.

This mammoth project, of personal pride to the King, achieved LEED Platinum status. The architects are HOK USA and the main ceilings contractor Olayan Group.

Anutone in association with Owens Corning USA worked closely with the project ecosystem in ensuring Stretch SLS system was a perfect fit for its training rooms. The project was completed in record time overcoming numerous challenges common to projects of such size and prestige.
