Vol 1 # 23
15 September 2009
The 7th edition of the Green Building Congress 2009 gave a call for transforming India into a nation where 'Green' becomes a way of life.

The IGBC Vision (India after 75 years of Independence) is to have 100,000 green buildings with a footprint of 5 billion ft2 by 2023. Dr Prem C. Jain, Chairman said, "13 years from now when independent India turns 75, we want it to become a trendsetter to the rest of the world in green buildings. And I am sure we can achieve this goal.

The larger vision of IGBC is to deliver green buildings at a cost lower than that of conventional buildings. Anutone is right there in the middle with its Gold Support to the show. Anutone is not only a member of IGBC but also ISO 14001 2004 certified.

The tradeshow had over 100 stalls exhibiting green products and services. The Anutone stall showcased white ceiling solutions that are green - Subtex Nubby (texture), Serge Lay-in (metal) and Belgravia Pixel (plaster) in different grid and perimeter. As a contrast, Anutone also showcased Slats Haya (wood) for walls. The Anutone stall received an enthusiastic response from visitors.
