It
is possible you have forgotten history.
The history of woodwool boards in India
and the central role of Anutone’s
Ekcel. Gives us reason to repeat. Via
‘eboard’, the fortnightly
e-newsletter every alternate Friday, we
are going to highlight to you, the pioneering
work we continue to do in bringing you
the best and latest in woodwool boards. |

Remember
our popular Ekcel Quick Guide with
20 fab features? We will give you
a lowdown on one feature in editions
of eboard starting with woodwool
or woodfibres – one of the
most important aspects of woodwool
boards.
Ekcel
manufactures its own woodfibres
to IS 1707 standards. Ekcel does
not outsource such manufacturing.
This ensures stringent quality and
the ‘cushion effect’
of freshly harvested fibres, so
important to get the right multicellular,
porous end product. Woodwool is
peeled from selected, seasoned pinewood
of optimum moisture content and
very high pineoil content of 10kppm.
This ensures strength, durability
and anti-termite properties. The
pinewood is from social forestry
programs that ensures responsible
usage of renewable resources –
a green initiative from Anutone’s
Ekcel. |

EN
13168 is the only global standard
on factory-made woodwool boards.
Ekcel is the first in this part
of the world to comply with Euro
Norms. This standard is made up
of many smaller standards and editions
of ‘eboard’ we will
showcase one of these that make
the whole.

| EN

and width |

woodwool boards under test are conditioned
to ambient temp and RH and placed
on a level table. Measurements are
taken with a calibrated metal tape
that permits reading upto 0.5mm

are expressed in mm.
