Sankranti celebrates the
auspicious shift of the sun path and what better
occasion for Anutone’s Ekcel plant to
launch ‘eboard’. ‘eboard’,
a fortnightly e-newsletter every alternate Friday,
is all about walls, ceilings and green building
solutions with inorganic bonded composites –
magnesitebonded woodfibre and woodparticle boards.
The
Ekcel plant of Anutone has been manufacturing
inorganic bonded composites (IBC) since May
1982 at Bengaluru based on traditions and values
that go back all the way to Kolkata in 1966
when the visionary founder, Viren Mittal, ushered
IBC technologies into India.
In
the 1990s the Ekcel plant pioneered a series
of innovative variants in IBC that met project
needs and exceeded customer expectations such
that it revolutionised a moribund industry.
In the noughties of the last decade the Ekcel
plant continued its innovative streak with world
class products that met the new and current
international standard EN 13168.
It
is the Euro Norm and its stringent conditions
for quality and consistency that sets Ekcel
apart from also-rans and wanabes. Since the
last decade Ekcel has also research engineered
trendsetting acoustical applications in IBC.
It is the only facility to boast of world-class
testing labs and equipment to current ISO and
ASTM standards.
In
this new decade 2010-2019, Ekcel will continue
its leadership role in IBC both for woodfibre
(Strand Plus, Strand, Strandec) and woodparticle
(Mat series) boards including thermal applications
for green building envelopes that conserve energy.
