Vol 1 # 14
11 June 2010
The Ekcel plant of Anutone at Bengaluru was certified ISO 14001:2004 in January 2008. Since then there has been heightened awareness and activity towards environment-friendliness. Pictures show you Ekcel programmes on 5th June 2010.

All three product lines from Anutone’s Ekcel - Strand, Mat and Tufbloc - are green in their manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance and long-term usage. The common binder is magnesia, the 8th most abundant mineral that consumes very lowpower during conversion to boards.

Board trimmings, production rejects and site scrap can be recycled (see flowchart alongside). That is as green as it gets!

Anutone’s Ekcel loops e-board every Friday. If you have missed previous issues please visit

What do you feel about ‘eboard’, our Friday weekly on Inorganic Bonded Composites (IBC)? We welcome your views to enable us to provide you with news you need the most. Please let us know!
